Church Identity

Church Identity is not visual like a logo or a brand. It relates to a qualitative identity that is understood, accepted and lived by the members of the church. This identity forms the traits and characteristics of the church corporately. It is a shared identity of our spiritual family. It allows people outside the church to recognise GKS L2DN when they see these characteristics.
True to our name, ZION, the identity of GKS L2DN shows the following characteristics:

GOD’S HABITATION
Members of GKS L2DN walk closely with God, are intimate with Him and desire to know Him for who He is. Intimacy and knowing God are of utmost importance to the members of our church.

PLACE OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP
Members of GKS L2DN worship God passionately, enthusiastically, dynamically, with all of their heart, mind and strength, wherever they are. We long to be true worshippers who experience miraculous things (deliverance, conquering the enemy and living victoriously).

HOUSE OF RESTORATION
Members of GKS L2DN experience restoration. They no longer live under slavery, hatred, revenge, bondage and sorrow. They are changed and in turn become agents of change, inspiring others.

TEACHING CENTER
Members of GKS L2DN love the truth, seek knowledge and understanding, and are able to teach that truth, knowledge and understanding to others (2 Tim. 2:2). We are a church who trains and teaches! We do not merely rely on experience but the foundation of our church life is based on correct and mature teaching, balance, relevance and is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

GOD’S FAMILY
Diverse members but with the same DNA from the spiritual father (Psalm 133:1-3) resulting in a church that bonds not just as a family but also builds one another up in our daily lives. We are not merely members or workers but we look upon one another as family and spiritual sons and daughters.

VICTORIOUS PEOPLE
Members of the church conquer sins, problems, fears, hardships and intimidations. They are ready and brave to face challenges (Acts 21:10-13). They do not give up easily and they keep pushing forward. They know their self-identity and have a victorious mentality.

A PLACE OF MATURITY AND STATURE
The church prioritizes spiritual maturity, such as character (mind and heart); the way of speaking and using words; reaction and behavior. Spiritual inner being and power become an important characteristic of the church. The stature (spiritual position and strength), resulting from a close and strong relationship with the Holy Spirit, is considered important.
